MDAV is a medical liability mutual insurance company that insures Australian doctors against medical malpractice claims. It recently merged with another company to become Avant, Australia’s largest such organization, insuring 38,000 health care practitioners.
MDAV developed an Online Community to provide information on high-risk areas for practitioners in various specializations. It asked iWrite Marketing to research and develop comprehensive information on subjects as varied as fetal abnormalities, colorectal cancer, epidural anesthesia, bariatric surgery, and cosmetic surgery.
The sites needed to:
- Gather, in one place, most of the information that a practitioner might need, and provide links to the best, most authoritative references in the field.
- Speak with authority and definition on issues of critical clinical importance to practitioners, many of whom are specialists in the particular field, often with many years of experience.
- Speak in a voice that is both recognizably Australian and authentic to the terminology and expressions of the specialization. The text should follow Australian standards, guidelines, and experience, yet include statistics and experience from New Zealand, the UK, Canada, the United States, and other countries.
